Greetings from the President
Hiroshi Masunaga MANAGING DIRECTOR
While working as a director of a FP consulting company, I have always felt anxiety about the future. It is anxiety about the future. Japan is entering an era of unprecedented population decline. As the population decreases, fewer people will buy things. It is a matter of course. It is said that by 2050, Japan's aging rate (the percentage of the population that is 65 years old or older) will exceed 35%. I wondered if our employees and the Japanese people would be able to have a prosperous future under such circumstances.
I entered Myanmar, the last frontier of Asia, at the end of 2013 in search of a bigger market and business opportunities, and I have been searching for what we can do as a FP consulting firm. Together with a board member who had been stationed in Vietnam for four years, we went into Myanmar alone and walked around the city every day. As we did so, we began to see various things. We began to understand the culture, customs, and language, and were able to build a network of people. What I realized was that I was finally at the starting point. It took a lot of money and time to get started.
Today, I think there are many companies that are attracted by the word "infinite possibilities" and want to expand into Asia. However, the reality is that it is not that easy. Especially for small and medium-sized companies that have less financial and human resources than large companies, I often hear people say, "I have a desire to expand into Asia, but it's impossible when I think about it realistically. We, at abcom, will do our best to provide logistical support to such small and medium-sized companies to ensure that they never give up on their dreams and have a bright future.
Our business is not only in Japan, but also in other Asian countries. Since we work in such an environment, it is only natural that we should create local jobs, raise wages, improve the working environment, etc. abcom will allocate a portion of our profits to social support activities that are truly needed by the local people. In particular, we would like to use the funds to improve the level of basic education.
